Question high beam indicator light

Does anyone have a clue why my high beam indicator light in the instrument cluster remains on (dimly lit) when the car is running with no lights on? When I put the lights on the indicator goes out. When I put the high beams on the indicator light comes on and goes off correctly. This is not a major problem but my concern is that it may develop into something more serious.

Any thoughts?

Are you sure that it isn't the "Headlights On Reminder" thingy? It's there to remind you to turn on your headlights when it's night time!

The blue highbeam indicator is on (dimly) while the headlights aren't and you can only see it when it's dark.

When your highbeams indicator is dimly lit that would mean your DRL (daytime running lights) are working. The DRL uses your highbeams at half-power. The dimly lit indicator is normal, and it's common on most Civics and older Accords (not sure about other Hondas).
