HID installation question on a Civic '03 Sport

I recently got a Eurolite HID kit from pacific mall. It says 6000K H4-I. The guy told me it's bi-xenon so i'm thinking that i get to keep my drl, low beam and high beam.
So my Questions are:
1. Can i keep my DRL, low and hi beams?? or forget the hi beam coz will not be using it anyway..

2. which pins do i connect it to? it only came with 2 pins as compared to the stock light's with 3 pins in them.. do i connect it top and left, left and right....?

3. I know this is so redundant, but are they legal/illegal?? if it varies then is there a way i can change its focus so it's not scattered? coz i find that it looks scattered.. or much like on hi beam..

btw, when my lights are off. the hi beam signal/light on the dash is lit up.. when i turn the lights on, hid's turn on. when i put on hi beam they go off...

DRL is gone with the set you have (assuming it's going into a civic).

If it's a true Bi Xenon. Then you have HID low and HID high beams.

You will have to actually disable your DRL's, because they will send a low voltage to the HID kit, some kits may fire others will not.

If the HID does fire, then you will be running your HIGH beams (which are bright as it is, more so with HID's) as your DRL lights.

If they do not fire (this is most probably the case) then you will have no DRL, but you may see the HID's glowing a little, and then fading, flickering. Because they are not getting enough power (through the DRL circuit) to work.

thanks man. it does have something to do with which pins i put it into right? you know there's like a T shapedfemale plug that you attach to the original bulb? now you will have to atttach it to the kit which comes in only two male pins as supposed to the 9003 bulb which has 3..

i can try diff. configs. but i'm afraid the bulb would explode if i try the wrong config. right now when male pins are facing me, red is on top then the black one is on the left..

the kit was actually plug and play.. i didn't have to cut or alter anything.. i just had to plug the originally plugged cable to the original bulb to the HID.. but as i said there was only 2 pins on the HID as supposed to the 9003 bulb having 3 pins..

I knew there was something fishy with that HID.. The guys were also telling me that they retail at around 300 i think and i got it for 180 bec. they had a deal with them.. they were also mentioning that the ballasts manufacturer is good.. like an equal of PIAA..

what do you mean by harness?? here's what i got..

1. 2 ballasts. with 3 wires.. one is oval shaped going to the bulb and 2 round ones that click to the round ones in the bulb.
2. HID bulbs with the wires in them. 4 wires.. an oval one going to ballast. and the 2 round ones going to balast too..
3. the extra wire. has 2 male pins in them which you attach to the one you originally attach the bulb to.. it was supposed to be 3 pins.. shaped like a "T".. so the black one is on the bottom of the T and the red one is on the right side of the "T"..

then that was it.. i actually tried playing around the configurations coz you can remove the actual pins from the holder that holds them.. i tried each and every configuration like the red on the left, black on the right.. red on the bottom of the T then black on the right... so on...

none gave me a high and low..

what i did find out is that. when the black one is at the bottom of the "T" and the red on the right. HID turns on with 2 turns on the light switch. single turn and hi beam doesn't work.

while when i put the red in the left and black pin on the right side of the "T".. single and double turn on the switch don't work but hi beam does..

and btw.. the light intensity was just the same..

Can i assume that these are not Bi-Xenon like what the guys at pacific mall told me they were??

Or does anybody know how i can fix this?

harness reroutes the power of the HIDs from the original electrical system of the car to the battery...its a good idea, it'll protect ur electrical system.

the hid's will work on the factory system but when they ignite they use 4-5x more power for a few minutes then they use little or none. so by routing to the battery it draws that 4-5x more power from the battery rather then ur electrical system. I mean you wont notice ne thing for a few yrs then u might have some trouble.

I seen those HID kits at pacific mall the other day... and something didnt look quite right.. so i searched EUROLITE and looked around the website for their HID kits.... turns out .....they DONT MAKE ANY!..... no where on the website... www.toucaninc.com (canadian site??? or imitation site?) and www.toucanindustries.com (this one looks more legit).... is there any mention or referance to HID kits by EUROLITE....so that "EUROLITE HID" kit that you bought... Fake... just another cheap no name HID kit! what else did you expect from pacific mall?

you need to take the DRL fuse out from the fusebox underneath the steering wheel.

when you take the cover off from the underneath the steering wheel look on the inside of it. it has a schematic pointing to which fuse is the DRL fuse.
