HID Help DRL/Highbeam

Hey, Ive seen this covered a few times but I havent seen a real solution yet.

I installed 6000K Hi/Low HID system today on an 01 coupe, the low beam works great however I lost my DRLs(and the DRL and high beam light show up on the dash) and I only have the highbeams on the passanger light, the driver side light goes off.

Whats the problem and how can I fix this?
Thanks in advance

check the pins in the connector.. there's 3 pins i believe.. you would be able to take them out from the socket.. it's like the "T" shaped socket and there's 3 pins on each end..

try mix and matching them.. that's how i got mine to work.. did exactly the same thing when i first installed. other light is on the other is off...

I tried switching them and nothing worked at all. I just pulled the 2 DRL fuses to eliminate the DRL light on the dash :S

did u get a hi/low hid kit.. or low hid/ high halogen kit??

if its the hi/low kit the drls wont work since the bulbs run at half voltage.. u need to relay your drls.. but first i need to know what kit u have..

Fixed it! According to the diagram and a video on youtube you only had to connect the system to the orginal socket in one place. LIE. I pluged in the other side and it fully works. Sometimes the problem is right in front of your face and you dont even notice it.

how do you disable the drl on a 01 civic? i have to do my buddys this frifay with a high/low hid kit

is it a simple remove fuse? or do i need the full relay and harness?
i dont know whay they design a high.low/drl all in 1... the drl uses a lower voltage.. and im not sure how the high low on 1 hid works yet, this is the first one i have ordered.

If its a hi low kit you dont need to disable the drl, the drl should run off the halogen bulb(high beam bulb at half power). If u need to disable the drl, there are 2 fuses under the steering wheel. Look at the fuse diagram, there should be 2 DRL labeled fuses one 7.5A and 10A i think. Just pull them out and its disabled and without that annoying DRL and highbeam light on your dash.

hey, i have a similar problem in my 2003 el, i have a low hid/hi halogen kit

I tried to put it in today and if i use the plug and play method with a relay harness wired up to the ballast, so i get drl and high beam (so the halogen part works fine) but the low beam hids wont turn on. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work.
I bench tested the kit and it works fine.
have any of you guys had this problem? i need some help asap

I know this may sound stupid, did you make sure EVERYTHING was plugged in. The wiring diagram and videos online we're slightly different than what I actually had to wire up. I would just double check and try different combinations. Thats the only thing I can think of.
