Heatshield Question

My heatshield has completely rusted through and now it vibrates and makes metal scraping sounds when I'm between 1-2k rpm, If I remove it will I suffer any consequences? Thanks

O forgot to mention, its the heatshield under my car, not the one under the hood.

nah..ol' wives tale..
just don't park in dry grass or a hay field or anything along those lines..

Exactly the correct answer....I was told the same by Honda....what the hell is the deal with long grass??? The only long grass I've seen is at Aaron's house

hehe.. nah man. u won't feel the heat.. make sure u get the top half and the bottom half off... my bottom half had rusted off the bolts and i guess the previous owner used a clip thingy to tie them together. still rattled a lot.. till i got the kid at honda during an oil change to rip it off!
