I have another set of relay harness and switches..
Al said the "elements are available at CT.. But most important.. Prewired using a custom 94EG6HB harness... |
Aw ****, I was hoping he'd show the actual wiring up of the elements cuz I got heated/power mirrors, but no switch, relays or harness. I gotta make all that myself of just buy a complete harness from the dealer.
|
I can show you what the honda heated relay and harness looks like..
Its at home in a box in my garage.. I'll post pics later... |
You can PM me or something. Also, the switch and the plug for the switch still pose a problem :(
|
Its just 1 pin on the harness that connects to the switch..
Again working remote... Lemme post up some pics at home.. |

The ones I remembered seeing, were ones that could be mounted under the handle grips of a snowmobile. The factory Honda mirrors havs a thin gap between the back of the mirror, and the plastic that holds the mirror in place. You would have to remove the mirror from the plastic.....remove the double sided tape or silicone that was holding it in place.....mount the element to the back of the mirror.....and then reinstall the mirror back into the plactic. (which is not that easy to do.....but there is a simply way of doing it if you know how) Right Aaron? Under 10 minutes to completly swap out power fold motors and mirrors from a JDM eg6 mirror housing. Hey, what can I say......I'm good. |
BTW, if your factory mirrors are not power already, then I highly doubt that the nessesary wires are already setup behind the motors in the mirror. If you don't have these extra 2 wires, then it would be even more work.
I did this mod to my first old car back in the early 90's. It was alot harder to do in that car. :fustrated :p |
opps...double post
|
now I can finally get what I always wanted.... :D
but won't the heat from that make the mirror come loose and fall off??? |

Yep, that's why its a biatch when you are trying to remove and then reinstall the mirrors.
If you don't know how to do it properly, you can break or chip the mirrors very easily.. |

DUMB question: what are heated mirrors for exactly? obviously something in poor weather. i have them, and have driven around in the bit of snow and cold we've had so far, and haven't seen a use for them. is it to melt snow and ice off them so you don't have to scrape, or what?
