headlight problem

headlight problem

hey guys my headlights have a problem... wenn runnin in day time mode both light bulbs work but wen turned on for night time mode just the left side works but if put on highbeam both works again... what is the problem ... is there a way to fix it???

check your fuses? maybe the day-run bulb is gone, what model do you have?

year of car?
stock im assuming?

if its EK I think the DRL and highbeam share the same filiment, so maybe the low beam is burnt out

im hoping you already tried to replace the bulb. That would be the first thing to do

your day time running lights run off of the high beam circuit at half of the output... so when you put on your lowbeams, which is a different circuit one goes out. replace the bulb

but one queston.. hows that possible that high lights work for high beam but wen on lowbeam only one works/???

because the bulb has 2 filaments in it, and each filament is connected to its own circuit. Your bulb would have only one filament broken and the other still functioning.

H4 bulbs only have 2 filaments 1 of them is your daytime running light/highbeams and the other is your lowbeam...the daytime running lights are highbeams at half power, you will notice that your highbeam dash light is on during the day while your DRL are on
