Why would you need to switch to glass? Are you afraid of them melting, because hid's actually run cooler then halogen bulbs.

styls255 11-Mar-2005 10:26 AM

I was told that it would melt the outer plastic?? will it not?

BBProductions 11-Mar-2005 10:35 AM

no it won't melt the plastic, it runs cooler then the prjector bulb... many do they hid upgreae and diy mod

take apart the headlight and then take out the halo with the led and replace it with a new one and re install it and that will make your halo work again.

you sure the halo's died? because this just happend to me and i fixed it, it wasin't the halo, it was the wire going to the halos, i the middle of the wires there something that looks like a little transformer from stoping to much power to getting through, you might just have to change that, it worked for me

very true, alot of times manufactures put cheap transformers onto the halos, best thing b4 you intall them is head down to radio shack or somewhere and swap out for better transformers and al should be good... cause leds last the longest times, its usualy something else that is the problem i e wiring r trasformers...
