halogen projectors and HIDs don't mix all that well. makes for ****ty lighting, but it'll be I guess better than just plain old halogen. everyone in the HID world hates this combo though. check out hidplanet.com/forums for more about this topic...

aftermarket projectors are **** to begin with no matter how big the brand name is TYC APC whatever.

the only way to get the best lighting is to have oe projectors retrofited.

in terms of hid and projectors. imo not worth the money and time.
your basically spending say 250 for the projectors plus atleast 400 for the HID kit (a reputable one) and totalling around 650 and you will still not be satisfied.

i'd rather get the HID kit and find a oem s2k headlights and take out the projectors and try retrofitting them into the oem housings believe me when i tell you this retrofitting is hard and will take time but WAAAAAAYYYY worth it at the end.

I put hid's in my oem ef9 halogen housings and even though they arent aimed correct at the moment they work very well because of the flute style lens. I dont mind if the light doesnt go as far as it would in an elipsoidal projector because I light having the entire road lit up for when i go and drive in the country at night.

yews i too have projectors which i have just ordered...
i know the light output is ****, but am going mre for the look, my foglights will balance the lightoutput and i will put in aftermarket bulbs... they will not be hid, but i will get the look i am wanting and hell what you complaining about unless you go into the country thats why we have street lights, on the highway and in the citry your headlights don evenmake a difference, you can drive with arking lights asnd see the exact same.. hell i;m a city boy and don need to see 2 blocks away, plu i don want the dirt and pebbles messing my paint job lol
