4K will be the brightest and give the most light. Its really white

8k will be somewhat blue, wont be as bright, and the really strict cops might pull you over

I have 8k on mine, never got an issue though.

im guessing the rsx has 6k is that right?
i'd prefer a little whiter than that, so i probably will go with 4k!
thanks Vida.
are all hid kits universal? or am i looking for a particular one?

Buddy.

I have 10,000k in my 06 Civic and have never been bothered by the cops....They are bright white not much of a blue tinge to them but I have aftermarket projector headlights....My boyfriend has the same in his 05 Civic and his are very blue in his aftermarket projectors...I think the lenses makes a difference too.

Since you have an eg, those headlights use one bulb for hi-low light output. So you will need to get bixenon kit which includes hi-low in one bulb. I had 4300k on my old eg in stock headlights, just have to lower the lights a bit and you will be good. 4300k will produce the most light that your eyes will see, since its the closest colour to the natural colour of the sun. The higher Kelvin you go, the less visibility you will have since your eyes are not used to blue. 6000k are probably most popular, since they are whitish with a slight tint of blue.
The law about the hid kits is that only vehicles with factory equipped hid kits like BMW/Mazda's etc, are allowed to have them. Now almost every 3rd car you see on the street have hid kits, so cops will not hassle you as long as you are not blinding everybody. Also, as long as you keep it under 10.000k you should be fine.

And almost forgot, you will need the 9003 or h4 bulbs. Both of them are the same just 2 ways of marking them.

Contact one of the vendors on here, he will hook you up.

There is no 4k.
There is 4100k which is stock on some cars and I doubt you will find it, or 4300k.
