fuse problem

okay.. earlier i had a problem with my dashlights not working, which turned out to be just the fuse.. but lately, that same exact fuse has blown about 3times within the week. Anyone have any ideas why? or maybe im using cheapass fuses?

this also might help.. but i have keyless entry and when i unlock the doors the light usually flashes on, but not anymore. This was whent he fuse was working.

another note.. one of my foglights dont work, anyone know why?

Sounds like the installer forgot to use diodes to isolate the circuit.

Everytime you armed or dis-armermed your car, the alarm would send a current to flash the parking light's (same curcuit as the dash lights). A doide would of stopped the ecetrical current from flowing back.....in other words, your fuse was blowning, because it was protecting the circuit. Take it back to were you got it done and have them take a look at it.
Are you sure you are replacing the fuse with the right value fuse that is suppose to be in there? ie...putting a 10A fuse, when the fuse panel says there should be a 15A fuse instead?

DO NOT replace it with a bigger fuse until your installer has a look at it. A big no-no :tsk:

As for the fog light.......blown bulb or loose/broken wire.

Chances are that the alarm that is in your car, is an AFTERMARKET one that the dealer put in. :nods:

Dealers do this to cars that come from the factory without an alarm.

How do you find out if it's an aftermarket one? Does the alarm go off if you hit the car? ie...shock sensor? If yes.....pretty sure it's an aftermarket one.

92 civics didn't have factory alarms did they?

hey i have the same problem with my dome light, i doent's work when the door opens or closes but i can manually turn it on. the alarm use to light up the cabin when i disarm it but now it does not. any sudjestions..... oh and the fuese are ok..

for rivers --> just check the fuses. if not then you may have a short somewhere that may be affcted by either vibrations or another accessory blowing the fuse when it's running.
