few questions....removing stickers/emblems

ok i have a few questions....

for starters...i have red/white pin stripe lines going accross the sides of my car and the trunk (sticker pin stripes) and i wanna get rid of that nasty **** what is the best way 2 remove it???? blow dryer 2 heat it up and peel it off....but then the excess glue is on the paint....what is the best way 2 clean that off without ruining the paint/clear coat....???? some kinda liquid??? i know rubbing alcohol removes it like crazy on windows but dunno if itll burn the paint...let me know....

and also i have a type r civic emblem on my trunk....i wanna remove that 2.....what can i do about that??? same procedure???

emblems...fishing line will work, just pull it between it and the car and will cut through the glue (wear gloves, will cut the hands), then can use a bit of rubbing alcohol to remove the excess glue

MINERAL SPIRITS. Then rinse when all the marks are gone. If you want try compounding with some 3m triple cut or something on the stubborn pieces, and then wax. The mineral spirits will remove anything airborne and waterborne so make sure you wash the car first before you go rubbing it.

Go to any bodyshop supply store or a wallpaper store and get a product called TUMBLER. It donesn't harm any paint surface or cause discolour. Apply it to a paper towel then rub the glue off really good. Works perfect, I use it at my bodyshop all the time and haven't had any bad results. Professionally used and tested. There's your answer. Let me know if you need anything else.

sticky stuff is no problem, getting the sticker off first is the hard part

imported_InfamousCivic 29-Jun-2007 04:44 PM

imported_Nicotine 01-Jul-2007 11:53 PM

next up, ditch the altezzas for the red/white 99-00 ek tails, and you are set ;)

nice ride btw. (my daily driver is an ek with an el front end conversion)
