Clear Rear Lights
Where can I get rear lights for a 1998 Civic SI. I want the ones with the clear indicator lights, I think they were stock in 1999 or 2000. Does anybody know how much they cost and if they're easy to install.

you can find them on ebay... they're not too expencive.... and VERY easy to install

Buy clear ones and paint the bottom half red or the top.

99-00 stock ones are the ones you want, they just fit in like your 98 stock ones, nice and clean. try either honda, forums, ebay, or junk yards...

I would suggest getting OEM tail lights only. The aftermarket look-a-likes leak and don't look as good imo. When on Ebay look for OEM, not OEM replicas. You'll be dissapointed if you get look-a-likes.

If you are looking at ebay then look at buying it at a honda dealership. Most ebay sellers are from the states and after you finish paying for shipping/duty/taxes...you were better off going to honda where you get a warranty and a certified Honda OEM part.....guaranteed. Unlike some guy on ebay where it could be real or not. Just a thought

I'll have to agree with Jay on this one. If you are going for that particular style, best bet is to go with OEM tailights. But if you are on a budget and don't mind the replicas, then go with those. Get a clear set as mentioned and just spray paint the section you want red and you got a set of cheapmans tailights. I personally think OEM tailights are the best. Too many ppl with aftermarket lights, its so played out now. Well, just my 0.02 cents.

If you are looking for the OEM tails, I would check out some of the used Japanese auto parts places (check the yellowpages under auto parts). You could probably pick up a set for less than the cost for new ones from the dealer.
Good luck. |
Aftermarket fitment isn't always the best.
Just keep away from those fugly Altezza's. OEM red white tails are expensive from Honda. Junk yard would seem to be the best bet. |
