check the diy section....there is a whole writeup on this there. the two screws on each side are not enough...you will have the lip stolen.

those braces can bolt up to your stock bumper. helps stop theives and gives it a bit more support rather than 4 shoddy screws.

personally, i'd do the brackets..... then again, im paranoid

4 Screws right into the bumper is the best.

steal lip...lol

its kinda hard 2 steal a lip if u turn ur wheel a bit 2 cover atleast 1 side of the lips screws (y) just my 2 cents....and as for the lip install...use the brackets or with wind etc the lip will wobble and scratch ur bumper, i had no brackets before on my cf lip till i noticed it was really loose with just 4 screws 2 on each side, and i didnt wanna put 2 screws in the middle so i made some custom brackets and put it under my bumper and inbetween my lip so it doesnt move up or down...more secure...but it all depends how the fit on that lip is because my plastic mugen was fine with just 2 screws on each side

I use 6 screws or nuts,

2 in each fender, 2 in the middle area but they are turn key lock nuts instead or regular nuts, which makes it alot easier to get int there to take the lip off.

maybe ill do a diy on how i did mine.
