Can a home paint job turn out ok?

I was thinking of painting my car, i've painted fenders before and it turned out pretty good. Has anyone tried painting a entire car in their home garage? I have the compressor, graity paint gun, air line filters, heater, vents, etc. I was thinking preping the car out side, then bringing it into the garage and installing plastic tarps on the walls and ceiling to minimize dust. Do you think it would turn out pretty good?

cool thanks, the only thing i'm missing is a good heater, i have a couple of 220volt space heaters, i think im gonna have to get something stronger this winter.

uh.. i woudl definately think twice before painting in the garage during winter..
just me though..
You've gotta get the climate in there WARM.. and it's gotta stay warm for a while before and after you paint..
just my 2 cents.. but i'm just one of those **** people i guess..
i'de paint in the dryest heat of summer.. i figure that woudl be best for paint
just my 2 cents though.. what do i know about paint..
good luck though!

WOW, thats actually the exact colour i was looking for!!!!! how much did paint cost you?

As for painting in cold weather, isn't it true you dont really need heat to dry the paint, the hardener does that.
