blacked out altezzas

yeah i used black silicone, cause i guess the clear would make it look like an outline.
did he bake the tailights in the oven? if so, did he leave it in their long enough? or did he just pry it open?
if you leave it long enough to "bake", you can push the lens around to feel for any movement....thats when you take out the sharp knife to remove the gunk thats holding it together.
edit: ooh, u have to make sure you dont snap any of the clips ( i think 4-5 clips all around ) to make sure no moisture gets in....gives it that tight vacum along with the help of silicone

make sure you "bake" it, and put it on an oven tray....
200-250 degress Fahrenheit(sp?) should be safe, depending on size and material used to seal up the object, bake time will vary
headlights/tailights took about 20-25 minutes
should be less with clear corners, BUT i have no experience with clear corners, so examine it carefully to see if this is at all necessary

1slocivic, did u actually throw your lights in your oven? what if your parents came home and saw a set of lights in her oven? lol
You can possibly do it in the summer and just leave them outside.
When taking them apart you must be very carefull, take your time removing them and have patience and they shouldn't break.

That's what i did when i was clearing my headlights, just put it on an old cookie sheet and threw it in the oven!
yeah my mom came home and gave me the strangest look, ah well atleast I got the amber out...
1sLo - i have no idea what my friend did he just said he had tried and it didn't work, maybe he bought some crappy ones, cuz he said the outside was poured in one piece, and there was no seal or whatever... so he was trying to cut through plastic but it didn't work so well....
