badges and emblems
i was gonna take off the rear badges on my civic. are they adhesive or are there gonna be little holes?
on another note, do you think they would look good painted flat black and put back on? i want to paint the H and put it back on. i might leave the Civic and the EX off. what do you think? should i just leave them alone? |
there are holes along with adhesive....and they will look pimp painted black on white car!
|
The only emblem with holes is the Big "H" (there's 2)
All the other badges (Civic/Si/EX/DX/whatever) is just an adhesive, get a credit card or something and get underneath the badge to hinge it up and then rip it off (gently if you wanna keep it), then get some goo gone to wipe off the excess sticky and you're good. |
i suggest dental floss or fishing line to remove badges/emeblems...use the floss/fishing line like floss between the badge/embelem and the car and "floss" it off...and then yea goo gone to remove the residual adhesive
|
yup, just holes in the middle, I had all my emblem holes shaved, but you can only do that if you're gonna paint the whole car. I think it'll look good to paint the "H" black and put it back on... on a white car anyway.

Body match it, it would look nice, too. Black is nice as well.
|
I did the front one black to blend in with the grille. I removed the rear ones, except the H cuz I like to represent for Honda. I will likely match it to body color once I replace my trunk lid with an Acura EL one.
|
Took my "Civic" and "DX" out like 3 years ago. Too lazy to colour the "H" and afraid I am gonna **** up the paint or chip it to cost rust...
But I agree, definitely have the "H" no matter what. |
i was gonna do my "H" black too
i think itd look sick:thumbup: |
