Anybody know how to take apart a JDM EG6 spoiler...

Wanna clean and repair a small crack in the corner before paint...

I need to separate the inner bolt on part from the wing part...

I have removed the screws but it seems to be caught on something...

Hope that makes sense...

Advice appreciated..

There should be 4 bolts that holds it down as well as the plug for the brake light. If you're having problems, swing by today if you're around the area and we'll take a look.

I got the 4 bolts out...

Now stuck...

When you say it's stuck, what exactly do you mean? Are you able to move the spoiler around? Or is it completely stuck in it's spot? If it is completely stuck, maybe try greasing the bolt areas.

It moves like it wants to come out...

But when I push the two tabs at the side and pull a little..

No go..

On each side ...

Holds the metal piece to the black part that the LED bolt's onto...

I just went out to take mine off. Here's what I had to do. Remove the 4 bolts, the washer thingy, unplug the brake light, and on each side of the spoiler there's this black tube thing that's attached to the spoiler with plugs, which I think that's what you're referring to. Just pull them out. Then close up the hatch, and your spoiler should just lift up.
