Angry angeleyes are drawing too much current

hey everyone i'm new to this thing.. juss baught the whole headlight assembly for ma 94 civic and i went to the shop and got it hooked up. it worked for like 2 weeks then one day the rear lights and the cluster lights stopped working. i checked the fuses and the cluster and tail lights fuse was blown. i went back to the shop and they checked it out and said the angeleyes are drawing too much current and they disconnected them so now i juss use the lights and ma angel eyes are not connected anymore.. can anyone tell me what i need to buy to fix this problem? thanks!!!

To lower the current of a circuit you need to add resistance (resistors). But you need to know the right values. Desired operating current, etc.

If your shop installed it for you they should know what they are doing. I would take it somewhere else and get a second opinion.

You took the car to a shop to get headlights installed? Seriously?

They didn't wire them up correctly if they are spiking the electrical system and causing issues.

Just put a fuse inline with the angeleye circuit, any shop worth half their salt should have done that. Would have stopped them from blowing everything.

yeah, if they can install them and "figure out the problem" they should def be able to fix it. Either wire them straight up to the batt with a fuse and switch. or leave em and toss a fuse inline with the angel eyes.

just use a relay and power up the angel eyes with the battery (with an inline fuse of course)

You can get them wired through another relay and power directly from the battery. Just make sure you put a fuse in the line, and for the relay, splice into any wire that gets power when your headlights are on.

if you use lower gauge wire than you wont need to i doubt your halos are taking that much power

attach the 87 pin to the power on your halos and ground em also

attach the 85 to your negative on your battery

attach the 86 to the red wire on your parking light (the wire is attached to your turn lights)

and attach the 30 to the positive of your battery

this is how i set up my foglights and im PREEEEETY sure my foglights use more power than your halos but ill wait for someone to approve or disapprove of me

Personally I think you should take the angel eyes out all together. They don't belong in civics. They only belong on BMW's IMO
