02 Civic SiR mod help

Hi guys:

I'm new to the forum and recently bought a 2002 Civic SiR. I'm thinking of doing some changes to the body and could use some advice.

The car currently has a door guards (black horizontal strips on both sides of the car to prevent dents). It looks like it is glued on, but I am worried about what it will look like underneath if I pull it off. Can anyone recommend a body shop that will charge a reasonable price to help with this simple mod.

I'm also considering upgrading the body with some Type R style body enhancements. I've checked out http://www.showstoppersusa.com/ and they carry either JDM or USDM body kit parts. Does anyone know the difference? My guess is that JDM is original from Japan as it seems to be almost twice the price as USDM. Although showstoppers seems to carry the parts I'm interested in, can anyone suggest a store in the GTA where I could buy these same parts so I can avoid having to ship from the US and pay duty etc.

Lastly, I would like to upgrade the wheels to something nicer than the current 15" stock wheels. Can anyone suggest what size is optimal for the SiR? I'm thinking 17" should do it. I would also greatly appreciate any advice you may have on where to purchase rims/tires in the GTA. I saw a nice combo of 17x7 Work Emotion CR Gunmettal and 215/45-17 yokohama AVS ES 100s tires but have no idea where to buy or how much they would cost. (I saw them in a picture from a poster on another site).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions/help you may have!

k, door trim...
if only glued you can prob just remove the trim and clean the panels..

jdm vs usdm...yup, you got it :)

17" would be best imo..
45 offset is nominal

USDM bumpers are bigger than JDM/CTR ones they stick out like 2 inches more in front and rear. In orfer to get real CTR kit u need rebar+bumpers+lips

USDM CTR style lips fit our bumpers but don't look as good.
I agree with above post check out ephatch.com its the best source for out cars

lastly you can get work emotion at optionjdm here is link
