you need to remove the roof and the rear seats and then your good to go!

I know someone on the board has RSX seats in his EG, maybe he'll chime in.

hey guys... I have rsx seats in my car...

Maybe the way I did it is old fassion but it deffinately worked for me :)

it's a hell of a lot of work but once you're finished the finish look is just worth it all!!!

TOOLS YOU NEED
- Drill w/ bits
- Grinder To break weld
- 8 flat head bolts with screws
- Rachet and socket
- Patience and determination

1. Take out your stock interior... should be very easy if you have any problems pm me .

You CAN use the RSX stock rails but you would have to alter the mounts. I have the seats in a ek.

What i'm about the tell you is a pain in the ass and without the right tools takes forever..

2. what you wanna do is from your stock seats take out the mounts, not the rails but the mounts where the bolts are put in place. This is difficult because the mounts are welded... you will have to break the weld :(

3. After the mounts are off, transfer them onto the rsx rails. WHERE YOU TOOK OFF THE MOUNTS ON THERE ALSO .....

4. You have to either weld the mounts back on or do what i did and bolt them right up.... remember !!!! you need to buy boltswith really thin heads because the rail will hit the bolt when you're moving up and down. (sliding)

5. After you have installed the mounts.... it's smooth sailing from here... lift your heavy ass seats in ... and mount them up lol

remember.. the reason we are taking off the mounts is because the RSX mounts are opposite to the civic mounts. they loook backwards.

good luck..

Thats clean!

thanks :)

it's not that hard... it's just the damn weld... i didn't have any heat to melt it...

i used the drill and the grinder... but my grinder wheel was big so i didn't want to ruin anything ....

hey gregj do u do those steps for both the front and back seats??

imported_gregj 18-Nov-2006 11:49 AM

well the backs are tricky...

for ek models they WILL NOT FIT!!!! i repeat... WILL NOT FIT!!!
what i had to do... is take out one of the rear side pannels for the seats to fit into place...
They line up just fine.. it's just the lengh that doesn't fit. Once you have your side pannel off... I trimmed it (cut) so that the seats would have more room to sit ...
remember if you do this correctly.. you won't see a difference..
NOTE... REMEMBER... YOR STOCK SEAT BELTS WILLL NOT FIT WITH THE RSX SEATS... SO REMEMBER TO PICK UP THE RSX SEAT BELTS OR MOUNT UR STOCK BELT ATTACHMENT TO THE SEATS.

EG models and EK hatch models...
lucky bastards just place the rears in the back ... perfect fit!!

Well that is true but you can get away with using the OEM RSX feet. U just have to switch the outside leg with the innter one to the same seat for the front. And the rear outside one closes to the door side just has to be bolted down. The inside to the armrest or e-brake cables would have to be spaced out betweek the rail and the leg or use a EK or EG inner leg and it works perfectly fine, And yes use the smaller bolts so that the rail will clear when ur move foward or backwards.

I Installd mine is my EG coupe 3 years ago.
