how to install a new half shaft?
 
Hey this might be in the worng place but i need some help i got a buddy 96 coupe hes steering wheel is almost locked and the cv joint is like square!!!! lol but we are going to the wreckers hes a broke brother so were gonna take a chance has anyone ever done this. Please help!! by the way im new to here and im loving it gonna have to comne out to a meet on wednesday and become part of the club.

half shaft?
i thought d series motors only had a left and right drive axel.
only b series have half shafts.

is the car swapped?

back in the day when i was doing trannys they were all called half-shafts..
10 minute job on a hoist..
pop the wheel, pop the axle nut, pop the lower ball joint, pull whole shebang out of the way...take a crowbar and pop the shaft from the tranny

BFH didnt do anything.
btw you wouldnt want to use a Hammer on it to much anyway as it will bend the shaft that goes thru the spindle and then that would be another bitch to get it out.

hammering it straight on the end wont hurt, or a slide hammer will help too.
