DIY: short shifter installation
anybody have a guide of some sort to help me out?
i don't feel like paying to have it installed :swords: |
lol did you scroll down the DIY list? lol it was like a few listings from the top...anyway, here's the link to an H-T thread on how to install a BnM short shifter

I would advise doing this if you plan on upgrading your exhaust or anything.. It is a whole lot easier to do while the exhaust is out of the way.
If your looking to do it on an Integra www.team-integra.com has a REALLY good guide on how to do it. |
Its just a shifter... even with the exhaust there... just drop the hanger and its easy!
|
geoch is right... if u can get under the car enough... drop one of the hangers.... your short throw might rub a bit on your exhaust
|
how long does installing one of these puppies take? I bought one like 2 months ago but didnt get around to installing it :s
|
I just did mine. Not hard. Installation can be at fast as 30 minutes, if the short shifter can clear the exhaust pipe.
|
helped my buddy a couple days ago. piece of cake. 25min

Alright, thats awesome, thanks! I'll definitely free some time up this week. i'm so lazy :( can i use different grease or does it need to be that White Lithium grease?
|
Silicon grease will do, the type used for suspension bushing.
|
perrrrrfect. thanks man! But i'm assuming white lithium grease is better so if i can get my hands on that i'll go along with it.
thx again! |
