Seafoamed my 80,000km JDM D15b on sunday.

Not dramatic differences but since I know the car inside and out, there are audible changes when at wot. Vtec engages in a much smoother fashion through all three stages ( only the second and third are actually significant in the first place, third being the most), and if my description makes sense to others vtec also seems to hit a bit harder and pull stronger to redline.

She smoked like a bandit as expected, the mechanic down the street must have thought i was a moron burning copious amounts of coolant... or something else. haha.

Price: 13.85 after tax
Location: Ideal Supply

Verdict : worth the money, and would recommend to others

Ive read all the posts but none was said about the Cat Converter! Will that black smoke get dirty the CATALYTIC? Im talking abput the back preassure. My car was really slow if the cat is dirty, i had an experience with that.

It won't affect the cat. The black smoke passes right through. It's not thick smoke. You're thinking of oil, this is just carbon build up being burned off completely due to a chemical reaction.

I did my Mobil 1 syn. oiled 350000kms+ 93 Civic Si last Sat. and it barely smoked but I did notice the car runs much smooother now. I can barely tell it's idling. I added some to the crankcase too and the oil was clean before, not so much after(black as night when I drained it), now the oil is still spotless after changing. I will say that on my high mileage car it worked great!! My CEL came on but only due to the massive vaccuum leak caused by pulling te brake booster hose off. I rest it by reoving the battery cable and all is good now, car picked up approx. 50kms on the last tank of fuel too!

i have a problem....i did the seafoam on my accord with 210 km's....after driving the car i noticed alot of improvement,, smoother idle, and gained back alot of torque........i didnt drain the oil right away, instead i let it sit in the engine over night and when i started it up, the engine was loud, like the valves were way offf....and even after the oil change the same thing, its loud.......the torque and everything else is still there but its just the noise from the engine that worries me...........

Did i do something wrong?

leaving the seafoam in the oil over night probably didnt do anything since it just sat in your oil pan. your valves are probably noisy cuz it freed a bunch of junk from them

this has been proven many times that it does absolutely NOTHING... great way to waste money though.
