Alright, had some time today to pick up the Seafoam. Carquest has slim hours, 8am-5:30pm weekdays. I got a LOT of smoke coming out. I put half in the engine, and 1/4 in the crankcase, 1/4 in the gas tank. I don't really notice anything too different though. It's not really like night and day. Maybe my engine was doing alright in the first place. Ah well.

Give it a few day and you might notice more. If your motor was relatively clean already, they the results might not be as noticable. Change your oil and your plugs too.

If you don't use it in your intake manifold then you won't notice a difference right away. When you use it in your Fuel system then you have to wait until the tank of gas burns through before you start to see result.. But you should change your oil soon if you added some to the your oil Reason being is that its like a detergent so its meant to clean internally, not to just sit in there as an addititive

I put it in my intake manifold, crankcase and gas tank. I wasn't really clear when I said "engine". I did get a LOT of smoke. I just don't really notice anything. It was yesterday morning that I did it.

What are the typical results?

Usually your Idle is a lot quieter and smoother. Smoother throttle response and acceleration. Remember this is only going to restore power not gain any. So if you were fine to begin with then you won't notice anything.

Throttle response does seem to be a little smoother. I'm just not sure if it's just in my head.

Idle is pretty much the same. I guess it might be noticeable on a stock exhaust.

Alright, I think today was the third day since I did the seafoam. And I must say, the engine is running smoother. The idle is about the same, but it feels quite a bit smoother throughout the rev range.

I just did the seafoam today.
Poured like a bit less then half into my brake booster line.
And like a bit more then a quarter into my crankcase.
And then a whole bottle into a full gas tank.

The car is running a lot smoother.
Idle is really smooth now.

It smoked for like 20 minutes.

How long are you supposed to wait till you get an oil change?
Should I go up today and get one?
Or will it be a bad idea if I wait till Tuesday?

I don't think a few days will matter. I waited about a week just because I had no time to do a change. A few days will give it time to work it's way throughout the engine. I added a bit of oil after just in case the oil thinned out.

I also waited about a week to do the oil change. I was getting worried because the engine would still smoke if I brought it above 5k. But now that I got the oil change, it smokes no more!

The back of my car is covered in filthy black soot.

the smoke you were experiencing was probably your motor burning oil and maybe had nothing to do with the sea foam. i sea foamed my car and my dads. after it stops smoking no matter how high we rev, the car wouldn't smoke. try using sea foam again in like a month if you've never used it before. i used it twice and i didn't get nearly as smoke the first time compared to the second time.

After reading all the stuff on HT about dryrot and killing your o rings and causing leaks and etc i feel a bit hesitant to use it now.

I have a 170km my car and it was pretty poorly maintained...you think its harmful im my situation?

Hi guys, just one question want to ask. If I pour it in to my buring oil EF, will it be more worst after the Seafoam?? Or it can stop buring oil??
