DIY: Resetting SRS light
This is primarily for the 2002-2006 RSX(DC5) & SiR(EP3), but it may work on other Honda's also. You'll need a paperclip for this procedure. Locate the fuse panel in the d/s footwell. It's standing upright, just to the right of the steering column. Then locate the YELLOW connector(looks like a phone wire) & unplug it from the panel. The panel just holds the connector, it does not have any contacts on it, so don't go jamming the connector on the panel after the fix. Take your time & re-install it properly.
- Connect the paperclip to the terminals on the YELLOW connector, & turn the ignition ON. The SRS light will come ON then go OFF after 6 seconds
- Within 4 seconds of the SRS going OFF, REMOVE the paperclip & the SRS light will come ON again
- Within 4 seconds of the SRS light coming ON, place the clip back ON the connector & the SRS light will go OFF.
- Within 4 seconds of the SRS light going OFF, REMOVE the clip & the light will blink 2 times.
- Turn OFF the ignition, wait 10secs and goodbye SRS light
You may have to try it a couple of times, it just takes a little patience. It will save you a trip to the dealership & maybe even some $$$. If the light keeps coming on after you reset it, you may have a problem & should get it checked @ the dealership. Driving w/ the SRS light on means that your AIRBAGS ARE DISABLED!

Take off both panels located under the steering column.
Here is a pic of the fuse panel you will be working with, it's all the way to the right og the d/s footwell. Notice the steering shaft as a reference point.
This is the yellow "telephone"connector which you have to unclip from the panel. It's just on top of the left grey colored relay (Don't mind my key pointer)
This is the connector after you unplug it from the panel. There are 2 metal contacts on the front. This is where you will place the paper-clip & follow the above mentioned instructions.
