DIY - EG Black Housing Headlight

Get your self some Black paint and Silicone. I used KRYLON FUSION for Plastic. you dont need to sand or prime. was like $6.88. and Mastercraft Window and Door Silicone for like $3.29.

From there. pull out your headlights. you dont have to remove your bumper. but it does make it ez'er. 5 screws on the top and 2 in the fender wells remove the bumper. dont forget to take off the 5 metal clips on the headlights.

preheat your oven to 325C and stick your headlight (I did one at a time) for 5-8 mins. take a flat screwdriver and pry them apart.

Get some tape and news paper and tape up the part you dont want sprayed.

From there. clean em down with some paint thinner or something like that. let them dry and spray em. I gave them a good 5-6 coats to get them covered nice.

Let them dry. Mine was an hour. put some Silicone around the housing and put them gas back on. (I left the old Silicone on) and dont forget the 5 metal clips.

took me a good 5 hours since this was my first time. but the end was well worth it. I put Black corners on and it looks really nice. I dont have pics of that yet. but I'll post em up later tonight.

it's not such a big difference but that's partly cuz of the fluted lense IMO. check these ones out, tyc reflectors except black housed. but still looks good.

325 degrees sounds a little on the high side. But if nothing melted, then it's all good. Nice write up.

yeah. the ebay ones are nicer. but I didnt wanna pay 90 bucks plus shipping when I did this for under $13 bucks. the corners are black housed with a clear top thingy.

that is a very nice and clean look for an EG. the amber corners would look amazing next to that.

did you bump your car, cuz the alignment is terrible, but the lights themselves look great
