DIY - EF Black Housing Headlights
Get your self some Black paint and Silicone. I used KRYLON FUSION for Plastic. you dont need to sand or prime. was like $6.88. and Mastercraft Window and Door Silicone for like $3.29.
From there. pull out your headlights. you have to remove your bumper. 2 screws in each fender well and 2 bolts behind each bumper lights.
once you have the lights out. tap the 6 metal clips off with a flat head screw driver. DO NOT try to pry them off. (Sorry Derek!, I fixxed it. Kinda?)
preheat your oven to 325-350C and stick your headlight (I did one at a time) for 5-6 mins. take a flat screwdriver and pry them apart.
Get some tape and news paper and tape up the part you dont want sprayed.
From there. clean em down with some paint thinner or something like that. let them dry and spray em. I gave them 3-4 coats to get them covered nice.
Let them dry. Mine was an hour. put some Silicone around the housing and put them gas back on. (I left the old Silicone on) and dont forget to put the 6 metal clips back on. put them back on the car and injoy!
Installed back on the car.
Took us about 1 1/2 hours from start to finsh.

yeah. around 5-6 mins depends on the temp. keep it arould 325-350 and you'll be fine. it helps to have 2 people when opening the headlights. one to pull them apart and one to pry with a flat tip screw driver.
and yes. my civics on air ride. did the guy have a mohawk by any chance?. lol. cuz that would be me.
