bbarbulo....u can be a little more helpful than that

1. located the alternator..its usually to the right side of the exhaust manifold or the header. you will have to look down into the engine bay to locate it.

2. cover with a plastic bag as bbarbulo said...you cant cover it fully as it is connected with other stuff....so u have to do it as much as u can...specially from the top...just press the bag over it to make sure it does fall or move while u r washing

3. If u wanna go a step further....use ziploc bags. the ones which come with an elastic band at one end and stretch it over the body of it as much as u can.

hope that helps....

Ok, so i washed mine and well its turned out to be the WORSE thing i could have done,...likei posted b4 i coverd everything like your suppost to do lightly washed the motor then let it dry and took it for a boot to dry more! (that was sunday) Now my car wont even start, it trys to but it wont go...that was the worse thing i could have done...i should have cleaned it by hand with out water!

If anyone has any ideas why it itsnt working now that would be sweet....i took off the dizzy and spark plug wires to look for any water that might have gottin' inside and there was nothing...so let me know what you guys think!?!?!

Thanx TCC.

i washed mine, it works, but my torque and response with the engine lags a bit, might have gotten a bit of water in but should dry up... especially since its working... i feel that my rpm lags and goes up slowly but smoothly and my car sounds like a muscle car... very deep rumble....

if anyone has any ideas what happend or has experienced this let me know
