If you have dirt on the inside of your lens you got problems...no dirt shgould be in there. I cleaned my lens when I took it apart with windex and papertowel. If you have dirt inside, it's time for new lights.

Yup, I kept mine indoors over night, then installed them and parked in the garage for another day. No condensation!

I don't think it is necessary. I used a flat black rust paint because I wanted a flat look. If you would like glkossy, try a glossy paint. Clearcoat protects the paint...but in this case the painted element is sealed inside safe so I don't think it's necessary.

dammit

I did my lights over the weekend.. its a 98 si. I originally wanted to go the 'smoked chrome' look but didnt want to drop $50 on an airbrush kit I'm only gonna use once. I was told airbrush is the only way to avoid the surface from going flat.

they turned out OK.. I'm disappointed with the appearance at night though. the section that used to be amber is now YELLOW! what the frig!!! :working: the colours match when my indicator/flasher is on, but during reg. use the headlamp is white and the side is yellow... LOOKS NASTY!

I'm thinking blue bulbs for the side section will solve the problem. any suggestions?

I just went and bought amber bulbs to stay legal. Try that. Or you could go the blu bulb route...you might get cop attention.

I don't think you can do that with mine because my lights are glass not plastic.

I did my lights today. It took less than an hour to take them apart, clear them and put them back together. I used Jay si's article as a reference and went to it.
