Ok so i picked up seats at import fest from Teknotik, and I had no idea how to put them in, because I didn’t know the universal brackets were so..universal.

Any ways your gong to start by removing your existing seats from the car, there are four 12mm bolts holding the seat the chassis, take those out pull the recliner lever so the seat leans forward and tilt the seat out of the car.

From there your going to remove the bracket from the seat, this is kinda tricky because you have to find the 10mm nuts holding the bracket to the seat. I cant remember where all of them are but there not hard to find

once the bracket is off the seat, there is quite a bit of work to do.

We have to get the bracket flat so we can bolt it to the underside of our new racing seats!

You will need an angle grinder with a metal cutting plate on it for this part, so basically your going to take the angle grinder and cut off the underside of the bracket being very careful not to damage the sliding portion of the bracket. This only needs to be done for the side of the bracket with the seatbelt on it. The other bracket only needs the thread of a bolt to be cut from it.

**this is a lot of work and you should use protective eye wear, and something to protect your clothes from the sparks or else u will wreck what every your wearing**

Another way to do it…

we did this on my friend EK and we noticed the part of the bracket we needed to cut off was held on by metal rivets, so what we did was we used a chisel and wedged it in between the bracket and the piece that connects to the seat and then hammered the bracket apart, much less work, and much cleaner than grinding.

Now we have the bracket nice and flat, we need to create holes for the brackets to mount to the seats.

There is already one hole in the bracket so we will attach it and measure where we need to drill the next hole.

so u marked where u need to drill and when u find a big enough drill bit, u will need to drill the whole, make sure u get the size right, because u CANNOT use washers or else the seat will not slide back as the bolt will restrict it.

so the holes are drilled and you ready to install the seats…almost, I found the bolts that came with the seats restricted sliding back and forth, and I grinded the heads down a little, not too much, maybe like a millimeter or less, but its needed for clearance.

So when u get the bracket son the seat u need to make sure both side are aligned with eash other or else you seat will be crooked, so I pushed both side all the way back, and made sure they were both on the same teeth (u’ll know it when u see it)

Ok so now the sh!ty part, after getting everything together, I found out the bracket was too close together! So I bolted down one side with the stock bolts, and I went to home depot and got heavy duty metal screws and some washers and drilled in the chassis to hold the other side of the seat down, I have no problems with the seat fitment or anything, works like a charm.

Oh and don’t forget the seatbelt!, u have to attaché the seatbelt by using the washers and the plastic ring that came off your stock seats, and use a bolt from your aftermarket seats and attach them, its not too hard (not as safe as stock, but it holds, I know because after an accident my self, I know the seatbelts work!)
