92-95 Civic Removing OEM Stickers from Trunk Applicable to: 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995 Honda Civic All Models Difficulty: 1/5 - Extremely easy Tools you need - Hair dryer - A few wiping towels - A bucket of hot water - WD-40 (use Goo-Gone if possible because it is safer on your paint) Instructions The 5th Generation Civics come with cheesy looking OEM stickers attached to the back of the trunk (eg. Civic DX, Civic Si), and if you want to remove them, simply do the following: 1. Clean the sticker surface and surrounding area with a dampened wiping towel (this step is not necessary) 2. Plug hair dryer to electrical outlet 3. Turn heat setting to HIGH 4. Keep hair dryer 0.2 cm - 0.3 cm away from the sticker surface (otherwise the hair dryer will give off a very stinky smell) 5. Keep blowing until the surface is hot 6. Begin peeling the sticker away with your hand while heating the area 7. Once sticker is off, you will notice some residuce on it 8. Spray some WD-40 on a towel and start wiping the residuce off (you may want to continue heating the area) 9. After the residuce are gone, use a dampened towel to clean the trunk again (To get rid of the WD-40) Enjoy! |
dont use wd 40 .. use GOO GONE its safer on your paint
i find the goo gone works better than wd40 aswell
but i usually just use gas to get crap off and then hose down that part right after, its so convenient |
i also used goo gone for this
i peeled the sticker off and didnt have to use any removing agent
I used goo gone on mine back 4 years ago.
