DIY - 02 Civic Ebay Cracked Fog Lens Fix
So recently my ebay fog light crack from highway driving with the stone flying and stuff. As you are all aware the ebay lens are doo doo and easily crack. So what i did was:
- buy a sheet of plexiglass from home depot
- take out the foglights and trace the outline of the foglight onto the plexiglass
- cut out the plexiglass that you traced
- you can use a dremel bit and roughly cut it out
- dont worry about being perfect as you can smooth it out once its off
the sheet
- take the crack lens off by break it and remove original sealing with a flat head screw driver
- next take what you cut out and align it back with the fog light housing and make adjustments if necessary
- once aligned perfectly, put some clear sealant and put it around the edge of the housing
- fit the lens back on and put back together the foglight
- repeat for other side
very easy DIY, took roughly 1.5 hours to complete! looks great and gaurnteed NEVER to crack again!
i also had some left over "invisashield" (www.zagg.com) i bought for my laptop to protect from scratches and such, so i put that over the lens to protect it some more! will post pictures when i can!

That's truly awesome.
Good find and thanks for sharing it with us!!!
Just a note to anyone who will be doing this by taking the heat shield off it'll help.
My lenses cracked to almost a big perfect circle. Which I can conclude was obtained from the heat shield.
Cheers mate!
