d16z6 swap
 

hey i got a 94 eg hatch with a d15b8 and i want to drop the d16z6 into it? anybody have a good,detailed diy with pics to help me out? what tranny would be a strong mate to use with it? help much appreciated..

ive got a jdm zc in my eg and the si tranny works really good... good acceleration and good highway

I just did this for my first swap 3 weeks ago... be prepared to pay for alot more then just the motor... some ball joints are gonna have to be replaced, timming belt should be done water pump clutch and so on...

I reused the old D15B7 tranny it works fine but if you want a speed increase you'll have to use the Si one (shorter gears)
