I just did my clock using the JDM in a can, I did about 3 coats and it turned out yellowish orange, like how the OP's looked. I was hoping it would turn more orange or bright amber. I've got the JDM cluster and JDM climate control and my clock looks a little weird since it isn't amber and totally match the climate control or the cluster.

Guess i'll try a few more coats of it in a couple of days when i take my cluster apart again.

I did 3 different sessions (days) on the clock with the spray paint. The first time i wasn't satisfied, but on the 3rd day it turned out nice. With each session it began to look more orangish.

each session I did about 4 sprays. You gotta make sure you aren't spraying directly on the screen either, basically you're quickly spraying in 1 direction. wait for that the dry then spray the other direction, that way you dont get any bubbles.

hope that helps.

I couldn't find the orange tabs so i just opted for the spray paint.

what you can also do is buy transperencies (like for overhead projectors) from Staples, and use JDM in a can to make them the color you want.... then cut to size and install.... if you can't find the yellow tabs, or if your project is bigger than a clock (like if you wanna do gauges)

orange! yellow=yellow clock. I've seen people buy yellow stained glass paint for their corner lights because they heard it comes out orange..no surprise..its yellow

here, better picture with the tabs. Get them at grand & toy

ya mine looks like that too now.

I think theirs comes out yellowish because they only do 1 coat, cuz the first time i did mine it looked orangish yellow as well.

anyways, the tabs looks like it requires less effort and cheaper as well, but either way both methods work

Yeah I have both yellow and orange JDM in a can. Found mine at Zellers.
