CRX cluster problem

i did a motor swap in my crx.. the si cluster which i had in my crx worked perfectly for the first couple of weeks, then my rpm's started screwing up. when i pressed teh gas the rpms shoot from 8 back down to 1 then up and down when its really supposed to be like at 4.. i thought i broke my cluster sumhow so i bought a new one.. i installed it but it does the exact same thing... wut could be the problem?

open up the distributor, check the connection of the blue??? tach signal wire while you are in there look for metal shavings and the such on the magnets, your tach signal is generated in the distibutor and send to your ecu/cluster check all the associated wiring.. i know it's kinda vague my response but i havent been around hondas that much recently.. hopefully it's not your distributor or your ignitor inside... if you have or know someone that has test another dizzy on your car!!!!
