Cleaning Headlight Covers (cheap)

okay so i made this awsome detailed post on how to clean your headlight cover and then i clicked a button (only god knows what) and it all got deleted! :suspicious::sad::rant:

SOOOOOO..... I'm going to do it again but i'm doing it very quickly because frankly i'm pissed:rant:

Materials used...
-armoral interior polish
-tooth paste( i "think" any ordinary one will work)
-armoral car wash soap (regular car soap should work too)
-shamee
-simonz car buffer with what i would call a semi soft abrasive pad (came with the kit)

Steps.
1. put a good helping of tooth past on the headlight
2. ****** it over the lense
3. begin to buff it
4. when the tooth paste begins to get to thick dilute it with the armoral polish
5. repeat steps 1-4 about 3-4 times (thats what i did) should take about 20mins to do all this.
6. add some armoral car soap onto the buffer and buff that in for another 5 min or so.
7. wipe the headlight down and the rest of the car that got the mixture on it (can get messy)
8. rinse and repeats for the other headlight

Disclaimer(By following these steps your are at your own risk if any damage occurs)

But hey it worked great for me! cost me basically nothing. :D

here is a before picture of the drivers side headlight and a after of the passenger side headlight (with a little left on it so you can see the difference)

OK so its not letting me upload the pictures:confused: soo.... i guess that concludes my diy guide on cleaning your headlight covers wish i could show pics

http://uwantmy.info/vids/ you can use my site, or a quicker site like http://imageshack.us/

Also, have you tried Magnus Head light cleaner? $20 with the buffer brush drill attachment. Work Flawlessly.

After your lenses are clean/clear you need to put a protective layer back on. I suggest Amazon and buy a lens cover, but they're $50+

Good writeup nonetheless!
