my 98 center console functions just fine.

a much more useful conversion would be the 96-98 front end to the 99-00

Just for anyone who wants to do this conversion.
You DON'T need the 99-00 blower box. All you need is the resistor unit. Go to Honda and it's part number 79300S10A42.
I paid 39.99 plus tax at 401 Honda.

You will have to take apart the blower box. Once you do that, remove the metal shroud it has, it's only 3 screws.

The 96-98 unit screws into this metal shroud, the 99-00 has its own threads in the unit, you have to get rid of the shroud so that you can get a screw the blower box to the unit, instead of the unit to the blower box.

You'll only be able to get one screw in unless you file down some of the plastic.

So you get the wire harness still, but instead of the whole blower unit, you swap it for this part?

Yea, I just put in the unit and it works fine.

Ok i got a jdm sir climate control. It has a coin slot that opens and has a small digital screen that shows the temp and its all in amber...now would i have to do the same or would i need the whole JDM wiring harness from this unit? Thanks
