YMCA Gyms in Toronto
Anyone have any opinions on the YMCA Gyms in Toronto? specifically I'm trying to figure out how much membership is? and how good the facilities are.
I'm looking into Gyms that have an indoor running track, like the YMCA in Scarborough.

I used to go to the YMCA until I turned 18 years old and they decided to triple my annual membership so that people on welfare could go for cheap/free.
I scammed my way in a few times but eventually just joined a real gym.

is that just a monthly fee? do you have to sign up for a plan? (like 1 year membership?)
I'm really just looking for an indoor track to run on when it's too cold to run outside. so if I can pay for a membership for a few months and then cancel it when the weather is warmer taht would be perfect.

Yeah the YMCA is a good place, but only if you use EVERYTHING... the prices are steep but that's because of the variety it offers you, track, gym, pool, group fitness classes, spinning classes, full gyms with a variety of sports...
if you just want to work out you're better off going to a gym and getting a $30/month membership..
I work @ the Y in Mississauga still so i can go there for free, but I still choose to work out at a real gym and just use the Y for the pool/basketball and the occasional work out

the Y doesn't have contracts anymore, and I also think they got rid of their 'joining fee' or whatever they call it
