Wow, GT3 is a nice game
I gotta say, nice game. And I am probably like a n00b for trying this game so late.
Some of the rides are just¡K. beyond sick¡K¡K Even though pressing buttons is different then driving a real car but the concept somehow remains on the same level. I mean, I now know why a lightened flywheel is useful and it needs to work well with a good racing transmission. I got my AE86 as a starting car then I upgraded the chip, then added intake/muffler, then I put a turbo then ported the cylinders. But I didn¡¦t beef up the suspension and get new racing tires¡K the car swerves like mad yo! LOL I played briefly last night after work at a friend¡¦s place. It shows how much I do not know about cars and it is way harder then just to read a car magazine, go out buy a car and slap on some muffler then go for a spin. I mean, me wanting to make the car go faster without the basic suspension, break upgrade and tire work has cost me several lost control on sharp turns and ran into walls. Before I had a car before, every time I play car games like this, I felt nothing when cars crash. But ever since I own my car and started get into it, I feel sorta scared even when the car crashed on the TV screen. Lucky it is only a game, but I really believe the concept is very similar. I am glad I am buying a damper for my car soon as my priority at the moment. I mean, it is not like my car can bump another car and came out in one piece¡K |
becareful, the GT4 will out soon later this yr and the Jap version will out next spring

Ya I heard.... maybe I will try that game out

The Miata IMO is the best car to start out with. Had GT3 since last year and still playing it. Enjoy the game :)

IMO...
GT3 is like Milk & Bread (or Chinese way...Rice & Tea  ) Can't live without it! When I started, I bought my cars in the following order: 1. AE86 2. Civic Type R 3. JDM Integra Type R 98 Spec 4. Toyota MR-S I used my AE86 to win many races. I won these cars and they keep me survive in many tough races... 1. Nissan Silvia, 2. RX8, 3. GTR R33... When I bought a new car, I normally lighten up the car first, then modded chips, then Intake and Exhaust. What about you guys? what would you do to your car first? Also I prefer NA cars more than FI...NA car is far more predictable! On the other hand, try to keep RX8 until you have enough $$$ to buy better car. it is a very solid car and will help win many races! The JDM game will be here sooner than you think. :cough: :cough: :listen: pac mall

But when I get a new car, I usually concentrate on getting a new chip, Stage 2 N/A power upgrade (can't remember what it's called in the game), and flywheel/tranny upgrade. I was usually poor so I had to save all the money I could to purchase the full custom transmissions. :) |
i started with the miata first too.... after just the stage one turbo its got huge power.... compared to what your racing....
second car was teh integra type r (J) you can get just shy of 500hp in that thing.... |
I like to do the suspension and tires first, but in GT3 it's easier to win with more HP under the hood. My first 5 cars was the Miata, Supra, Civic SI, MR2, and JDM Integra. I won most of my races with the GTR, 1000+ hp :p
