would u use this program!

http://www.WinTVguide.com

Thanks you guys for the support from the begging!!!

===Original Post=====
ok, here is the deal, i was thinking about writing a program to let u know when ur favorite TV show is on tv, with a pop-up message on ur screen just like MSN messenger! it will ask u what ur Postal code or area code is, and u give it a list of the show that u like and it would remind u that lets say Simpsons is on Ch.21 in 5 minutes, i could even make it send u a text message on ur Cell phone!

please let me know what u guys think and any other stuff to add into it! and most importantly if u would use it!

thanks!

i'd copyright that idea real quick..
unfortunately you've just exposed it to who knows how many unscrupulous people who'd jump all over that idea and steal it out from under you

ya got that fookin' right!!!
i've been looking for that niche market idea for years but instead i keep handing them over to other people...

i created a little, i'll call it an icon for lack of a better term, as a safety thing at work..won myself maybe $200 worth of shyt for coming up with it..

a year later it's plastred all over the intranet, on every piece of safety related shyt that comes out..it's gone national

but i still have the fire extinguisher i got tho
maybe i'll have to start a fire to get some use out of what i earned

sorry guys i burnt down the refinery

well fortunetly in canada u don't have to register ur idea to be protected by copyright law!

You do not have to register your copyright to have protection in Canada, but when you register with the Copyright Office, you receive a certificate which can be used to your advantage in the event that your work is infringed.
in my case i prefer not to pay! incase someone stole my idiea i could u this post to prove that i came up with this idea first! and of course it will be in download.com after its done!

thanks alot for the feedbacks thou! i'll start working on it ASAP!

That's a very clever idea.

So with the program, would it download a weekly list of shows and then remind you whenever it sees a "Simpsons" on the list? My ati aiw has a feature sorta like that cept it records the show automatically when you choose the name of a show.

actually according to law... now that u have told everyone your idea you legally cannot copywrite/patent it... there was a guy in NY I think that had an invention for some sort of kids toy (can't remember what it was... it was like a scooter or something along those lines)... He had made a several prototypes and lets all the kids in the neighboorhood try it out to see if they liked it... When he went to get a patient they denied him b/c too many people had been exposed to the idea...

Moral of the story if u got a good idea keep your trap shut although to copywrite something is quite expensive in the first place
