Would u take this to court???

We were given wrong information by the rep dealing with our insurance policy and based on that information told her to go ahead with cancellin our policy. She made us aware that we would recieve a refund of up to 98 % the money, minus some administrative charges. since we only cancelled it 4 days after we drew it up . we lost $ 300.. and there is nothing anyone in their customer service or the supervisor can do about it except say that their sorry and that thats their policy, that there is a penalty for breaking your contract that early and there is nothing anyone can do about it . Now obviously if i knew i was going to lose so much money i wouldn't have cancelled the policy and stayed with them. I totally undersstand they have a policy and you're supposed to stick with the company's policy thats why its in place, but when i was given wrong information by an employee who should have full knowledge about the situation, what am i supposed to do ? The whole company acts like its my fault. My friend told me i should take this to the small claims court .. what do you all think i should do ? Any other information you guys need let me know...

ok .. it doesn't say ANYwhere in the contract that therer will be an early cancellation.. i
vre read the contract over an over.. no where does it say there would be a penalty for cancelling early. when i called the bitch n asked her if there is a minimum time u have to stay with them before cancellin .. she said no becuase it was so early in the policy ( only 4 days) .. and that i would get 98% of what i paid minus some administrative fees..

how can i inform them 1 week before .. so they wont charge me if i only had the policy for 4 days ??
