Worlds Oldest Lightbulb

Described in the Guinness Book of World Record's as the oldest light bulb in the world, this bulb just celebrated its 110th birthday on June 18,2011. The Livermore, Ca. Station 6 firehouse is home to this record
setting light bulb.

The 60 watt light bulb that just won't quit was installed in 1901 and has burned continuously, except for a few blackouts and some outlet moves, at it's home home in the Livermore Ca., fire station. It's used as a nightlight over the firetrucks and is never turned off.

I remember watching something on TV about it.. cant remember what show though..

amazing though, cause no light bulb in my house seems to last more then 6 months.. lol

damn straight! i look at my civic's engine bay, and then i look at the new chryslers at work, and wow..... i nod my head in shame (shame of the newer more prone to fail technology)
