its a scam if you ask me. Windshield washer fluid isn't supposed to freeze. I mean i've never had it freeze on me. And it melts the ice on the windshield without being heated first, so i find this heater to be kind of pointless.

True, I've never had the winter stuff freeze on me before (but on my dad's car he forgot to put in the winter stuff last year and the summer stuff froze).
But I'm, not going to get one of those things. I already switched to the winter teflon stuff from CT, I think thats all I'm going to do.

its not to prevent freezing, its to warm the fluid up before it hits the window... so it can defrost the ice.... also if you shoot your window with fluid normally when its cold you get a frost build up on the window because its cold... this is supposed to prevent that

sounds like a good idea. but. wouldnt an ice cold window being sprayed with hot fluid cause the glass to crack?.

maybe if you have a crack in it already, but i don't think this is like 150 degree fluid, and tempered safety glass is made to withstand changes in temperature...

i think it's a good idea in theory for lazy ppl, but i'm one of those that when i'm cleaning the ice/snow off my car I clean it off the WHOLE car.... it'd drive me insane to have only the part where my wipers clean de-iced and the rest all covered up...

like brad, i'd try it but i'm too damn cheap... MAYBE if it was free... but then again that's just a maybe...

even if it warms the fluid, when you spray it out in subzero temps i'm sure it cools to normal temp by the time it hits your windshield anyways. this is a new product and will be dirt cheap in a few months (i.e. when people don't need it or it isn't practical). buy it when it is cheap so you dont waste your money
