Customers who subscribe to the Sympatico High Speed Ultra service will also enjoy an increase in speed and performance. The download speed will increase from 3 Mbps to up to 4 Mbps, and the upload speed will increase from 320 kbps to 800kbps. That's the best upload performance in this category.

Management, adding "We are now utilizing the strength of our network to allow
our customers to access the rich broadband content and applications available
on the internet today with no change to the prices of the Rogers Hi-Speed
Internet services."
Rogers' increase in speed allows customers to do more of what they want
faster, including sharing digital photographs with friends and family which is
particularly important during the holiday season.

Just hype?
Have you heard of multiply DL's from multiply users when you are DL'ing music or movies?
Say you are connected to 14 users that you are DL'ing a file from (the same file), and they are all uploading at around 200kb. What do you think your DL speed would be?
All I'll say is, when 94EG6HB was installing XP Pro on my new HD, and did a complete update through Windows Update site, it took about a second to check my computer....(that 33% 66% 100% thing), and then to DL about 100 megs of updates (from only one uplaoder), didn't take longer than a few minutes. I was literally shitting my pants from laughing so hard. It was sick!
I even went to a streaming audio site while at his place, and I couldn't believe how fast it connected and streamed the audio. (less than a second). Then I tried to listen to a song file of 50 megs, it took about a minute to load the whole file! It makes me cry when I use my 56k now.
As for the question of why 94EG6HB would pay for the Ultra? I can answer that with only 2 words.
Bragging rights.
BTW, do you really think he's paying for the sevice?
Hey 94EG6HB, I have about 20 megamixes that are around 50+ mb in size that I want to DL. Can I borrow your computer conection for about an hour?
