Why Dawn of the Dead is possibly one of the greatest movies ever

Dawn of the Dead is amazing because...

- at least 25 people die
- a chick gets cut in half with a chainsaw
- Ving Rhaimes is in it
- the camera doesn't shake a lot like it did in resident evil 2, so you can see the action better
- there is a sniper having fun
- there is a touching scene where a zombie baby is born
- a man must protect his zombie wife and baby

I don't see how anyone can say 'the english patient' was good.. when there are movies like this out..

God that movie sucked..

The sniper part is funny though.. They were shooting select people. The whole zombie baby thing is just stupid..

I liked shaun of the dead a lot more. Liked how they very subtly show us how we basically are zombies anyways, doing the same stuff day in and day out.

I like different movies for different reasons.

Army of Darkness I think is the coolest adventure flick

Dawn of the Dead is amazing cause of a number of the scenes.. who cares about the plot

Starship Troopers is amazing for the construction of a futuristic facist regime... and the sarcastic satire that a lot of people didn't get.

I was just in a zombie mood when I wrote this.

above mentioned movies are all good...but you can't forget about the first two movies of the trilogy...evil dead 1 and 2...without them you wouldn't have army of darkness

evil dead sucked... evil dead 2... yeah man....

it got into my hand... so i lopped it off with a chainsaw.

Ash is honestly my favourite character (for the moment)

some idiot... with a sawed off double in one hand.. and a chainsaw in the other fighting zombies, skeletons, and insulting wenches while eating turkey leg with his hands.

That is the ideal life if you ask me.

I'm 25 and my dad still hides the axes and chainsaw from me.

that movie was disturbing but still good. the zombie baby was the nastiest part of the movie. i hate those giving birth scenes.

Dawn of the Dead is good, I liked it. I turned off all the lights and I actually enjoyed it very much. You forgot the scene when they were all having fun in the mall, man trying on woman's shoes, riding bikes, and that rich guy banging that blondy. That was awesome. Good thing my buddy has hacked dish, so that movie was on all day long. I remember that segment is about 1 hour to ending so everytime I was channel surfing, whenever I saw Dawn of the Dead with 1 hour left, I wait for that scene to come up.

Good **** I say, good ****.

Dawn of the Dead basically says everything is fvcked.

Shaun of Dead gives you a hope, that such thing can be controlled.

Nova, everything that has a beginning, has an ending.

Zombies are the next step in evolution.

Somehow I don't find Ju-On a bit scary. It might be the precise fact that the movie takes place in an environment pretty close to the actual reality that makes the movie scary to some people.

ju-on was garbage. the remake the grudge was waaay better
ringu was alrite
the eye was good
beatiful mind was good
identity never heard of.

dawn of the dead was definately good in my books just because its so real life type feeling. where they dont tell you how it happened, what caused it or anything and how to prevent it, its perfect.

just imagine yourself sleeeping and then you wake up and **** is like this and you put your tv on and there is all this news but no one is telling you **** and then your husband or son or whoever it may be is infected and comming at you and you flee'in your house in search for someone who might know stuff but still cant and most likely wont.

resident evil 2 was kind of like dawn of the dead aswell but it was more 3rd person type view where they explain everything and how it happened and why.

i loved the movie "evil dead" only thing that kept pissing me off was when ash tries to help he always gets thrown into a wallunit, bookshelf, table etc... that guy was gay.
lol

I don't find any movies scary... not since a kid... I have found movies disturbing, but that's a different story.

Reqium for a Dream was probably one of the more disturbing movies I have ever seen.

It sucks to realize you will one day be old, most likely abandoned, and set your life around television.
