Test drove the new SiR!

Well not me exactly but my brother and all my close friends that are grease monkeys (mechanics) for Honda took one out yesterday and they said it is............................................
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my brother said he thinks that his SOHC Si hatch would even give it a good run for its money! well he doesn't know literally, but he says it sure feels like it would, and that its not worth whatever they are asking for it!

they all love the interior though they said the seats are really nice, and its a different yet cool change that is easy to get used to with the shifter in the center column......

anyways, my brother said this is what he has been waiting for to make a decision on what he is gonna do with his hatch, he said if the new SiR had any ballz he may think about selling his hatch and getting this thing and just dumping it on the floor. OR saving the waste of money and just pick up a cheap oil burning B18c and rebuild it the way he did mine and just chuck it in under the hood and keep the car until he gets married and has a kid....lol.

anyways all in all .........
THE ****** NEW CIVIC SiR IS A PIECE OF ****!!!!!!!
and from what i hear they are only gonna get shittier!

word through my friends at Honda / Acura Dealerships and other friends that are doing the Honda MAP program at Centenial is that
the only thing with any ***** in the future as for performance will be maybe the new Accord coupes coming out or the S2000 depending on how long that will be around.....as for everything else,...especially the CIVIC LINE, is just going to slowly but surely become more self maintainable ie.(less oil changing, less brake servicing) also be a threat to the Auto Mechanics Trade (ie. flat rate pay may be eliminated as per less amount of wokr involved with vehicles and more electronics and computer work) and that the CIVIC LINE "WILL" thats right become a FULL ECO-LINE OF VEHICLES half electric/half gas, basically exactly like their eco-hybrid they have now.

BUT we also heard of Honda coming out with a technology of "3 stage V-tec"? this alot of my friends don't know the whole story but its very interesting, but as for what vehicles its gonna be in or how the vtec works, as for if its for perfomance or more of an enviromental / emissions thing (which it probably is) we are unsure.

WELL ALL I KNOW IS....
for all you hybrid CIVIC performance heads, and DOHC CIVIC junkies like my self i guess......hold on to your projects or play with whats out there now from the year 2001 and earlier! build them, take care of them, and cherish them if you love this scene, because i really don't think performance will be the same,.....

you never know,...build as many as you can or all those with R's and SiR's keep those things MinT!!!! they all these things will be considered "the good ol days",....you guys know what i'm saying so i'll just jet now.......

i'm leaving to go to my brothers dealershi to see if i can get a spin out of that 7th gen SiR(ubbish) lol!!!!

peace!

I have also heard a lot of different opinions!..i am hoping that is it fast, it is just they where with a Dealer when the test drove it! The only reason i am hope that is it fast, it because a used 2000 SIR is like 23,000, and the new SIR is like 25000, so for the 2000 i want a new one!!....lol....

I've test driven a few cars in the last few months, maybe I'll drop by Honda and give the new SiR a try.

GOT BACK

just got back from the Honda Dealership,....
just like everyone i knew said.....

interior i give 10 out of 10
exterior i give 7 out of 10
and last but not least,......
after i drove it for my self.....
performance i'd give a 5,

to me it drives like a slow B16
and a stock B16 is slow like *** already.

You let a guy who's accustomed to driving fast cars test drive it, and he'll think it's slow. You let a guy who usually drives a stock civic everday test drive it and he'll think it's fast. It's all up to interpretation.

my brother drives a stock SOHC Si,....and he drove it did i not say he say he thought it was slow! he's drivin every car that has rolled in and out of his dealership , i'm sure his judgement is pretty acurate,...anyways i've finally got someone to back up my points check here at Honda-Tech, response made by "eg_nezay" and "Halo"

http://64.4.8.250/cgi-bin/linkrd?_la...8140%231408140

so "whatever" to anyone that doubts me.
