Suggestion to add to newbie welcome messages
There is something that I have found is prevalent on most of the vehicle forums specifically the ones i have been searching of late (Civic Forums) that i thought could perhaps be improved upon if attention is drawn to the point.
Many people in search of a quick cheap fix go join a forum ask a how do i do it or how do i fix it question then get suggestions and leave never to report back on a thread. It must drive the frequent members that make this forum work totally crazy.
The net is one finds when one searches these topics appear but the fix is never confirmed or reported on.
I would like to suggest that when a newbie signs up the sign up message refers to this point and more attention is drawn to the moral obligation to provide some feedback to the people who bothered to help give you some direction in the first place.
Just a suggestion it would make the value of the information far more worthwhile and complete. A forum that has this kind of completeness would then attract more attention and frequency of participation.
Anyone have any other ideas on how to improve this aspect.

People who sign up with the sole intention to get the information they want and not stick around after are going to do just that anyways. We don't really have control over what people do in that regard. A sticky note or message I doubt will make a difference.
