Stupid drivers geeze, cruising 120 in a 80 zone.
Damn these idiots When going to my aunt's place at around 9PM, taking Duffering + Langstaff North, my uncle following behind us we doing 80 accelerating. So anyways minding our business suddenly this IS300 zooms past us and cuts us off because there was a car, and definately he was doing 100 so my dad used the highbeams (Its a 2002 CR-V so the headlights are bright especially with Eurolite at night with no rain) and accelerating so we were doing 100+ past Confederation Parkway and the IS300 was still a decent 3 car lengths ahead, he quickls swerves into the left lane to make a left turn while cutting people off, dad kept going with the highbeams on until he switched lane, than my dad manage to goto left lane, taking up leftturn lane and fast lane and going really close to it highbeaming him as he waits to turn left, it was like mirror to mirror.
What are people thinking, doing 20KM over the speed limit is like normal driving especially with not alot of cars but he was doing at least 120.
Damn can't wait till I drive
P.S I love the Horn

I get those retards everyday and night. i was driving home in a 50 zone so see a mustang fly by me at least doing 120. These people are just plain retards especially with cars that you can easily lose the back end. There's not much you can do about it.

Although I agree with what your father was doing (yes, I too have chased after bad drivers -- it's my BIGGEST fear and pet peeve), we must realize that by speeding up after them we too are putting ourselves at risk. Having two vehicles speeding along is more dangerous, and plus, you're putting yourself at risk -- what if they pulled out a gun on you or something stupid like that?
Two wrongs definitely do not make a right.
If you want to go chasing after reckless drivers like that, please don't be a vigilante, call the police and make them do their job. Believe it or not, they will actually do something about people like that (I know from personal experience -- I had someone nearly run me off the road once and called it in. The kids ended up getting in trouble with the law and their parents!)
This part of your message used in context with the rest of your post really worries me. Driving is a priviledge, not a right. Don't use that priviledge as an opportunity to hunt down idiot drivers.
I hope we all drive responsibly and act accordingly in situations like AzimuthX has described. Taking matters into our own hands puts ourselves at risk, and personally I don't want to see that happen to fellow club members.

You may not agree, but I think if a person (guy or girl) decides to drive like a fu@#ing idiot and risk not only their life but others on the road, it is not our job to make them realize their mistake by running after them with high beams. Surprisingly enough, this is where the police comes in. Yes, I know it was an IS300 and not a Honda Civic, but still. We would be charged for stupid driving and for what? To prove a point? Which is what? That we are as stupid as the stupid driver? Just shake your head....call him an a$$hole and continue on your marry little way.

Saturday night...
Nobody on Highway 7.. I was coming back from the Richmond Hill theatre (Hwy 7 & Yonge).. to Woodbridge (Wonderland area). This was at like 1 AM or so...
Nobody on there.
Speed limit is 80.. and it says "Aircraft Patrolled"
I was going 120. So was like 1 other person cuz we were the only ones on Hwy 7 at that time it seemed.
It's safe as long as you're not endangering anybody elses life but your own.
2 cars for a 3 lane stretch is fine I believe.
Feedback?

What about pedestrians that might be trying to cross the street or cars coming in at intersections? Just because no one is going the same direction as you that doesnt necessarily mean you're not endangering others. Not trying to knock you on speeding or anything (cuz i do it too)...just sayin that anything can happen even when the road appears to be deserted.

heh.
Just to let you know (being a Lexus and Honda owner)... I'd take a Lexus over a Honda BTW.. lol
When I hop into the Lexus.. and people behind me have really bright lights.. I press this little auto button on rear view mirror and it automatically adjusts tint so the light doesn't shine in my eyes
It just makes my car really bright and I can read a book while waiting for the light to change to green haha
However.. Honda has this cheesy push this lever down and you have like a tinted mirror behind.
The Lexus has variable tinting. So high beams usually don't bother a Lexus owner too much (if he knows how to use the stuff in his car) lol.

AzimuthX, and everyone else for that matter, flashing the highbeams at someone who did something dumb is completely right and acceptable. Use the horn, use the highbeams... You HAVE to be a defensive driver... I'm just saying don't go any further. It's risky these days to do anything more.
Heck, it used to be that you would flash the highbeams at someone that was sitting in the passing lane and wasn't getting out of the way of the faster moving traffic (YES PEOPLE, THAT'S WHAT THE PASSING LANE IS FOR --- PASSING!) or to just let someone know you were about to pass them on a two-lane road. That was common practice and it was just a friendly wake-up to the car in front to let them know of your intentions (similar to using your signals properly! -- but don't get me into that!)
These days if you flash your highbeams people get all pissed off and flip you the bird, cut you off, or do any other sort of dumbheaded "I'm better than thou" move.
Whatever happened to the days when people realized that they could be doing something wrong??? It's all ME ME ME these days.

Man sometime you want a digital camera with you, snap shot the license plate and report it to the OPP for reckless driving. After 3 years if I get a car I plan to add additional high decibal air horns for both vehicles.
