So I met Don Cherry today.
...while I was working at Home Depot.
Some kid in my lineup saw him, said hi and he says "how'd you like the game etc..." A couple customers later he comes up to my register buy 4 Canadian flags. So I say to him "What game were game were you and the guy talking bout?" Him: What other games would there be? I said, "There are TONS, the Jays are doing pretty well." Him: "Well it was a hockey game. Do you know what game it was? Me: Carolina and Buffalo. I hope Buffalo wins. Him: Did You even WATCH the hockey game? Me: Nope, I'm not a hockey fan at all. :p Him: How can you be a Canadian and not watch hockey? At this point, he signed his receipt and held it out in front of my face, clearly trying to show me that he was, in fact, "THE Don Cherry." I looked at him weird (cause he had the receipt in my face) for a few seconds. And then he says, "You got a problem?". I'm like nope, have a nice day, enjoy your flags. He stormed out pissed. Best 5 minutes of my otherwise brutal, understaffed overworked shift. Edit: For you people that require perfect f'in english... |

it seems like a few of you guys here are a little incompetant when it comes to reading. sure his story outline wasn't the greatest but it was very understandable to me. maybe you guys should go back to grade five and learn how to read and comprehend better. no need to jump on someone just cause they aren't perfect! |

Grew up with Brett Lindros, yes his brother is really a dick and the whole thing at Don Cherry's did surprise me one bit.
