Secret Station Selling Gas For 50 Cents Less Than Current Price To Be Revealed On BT

Thursday May 1, 2008
CityNews.ca Staff
We know, we know. The price of gas is killing you. It went down a bit Thursday to around $1.18 a litre. But anyone who thinks that's a bargain is either very rich or very naïve.
Experts are warning there will likely continue to be fluctuations in the price over the coming months and while it may go down and come up again, the era of the cheap fill-up is gone forever.
Or is it?
What if someone told you they could guarantee you gas for well under a dollar a litre in a limited time offer that was too good to be true? Well, someone is and it's not only true, it will be here on Friday.
BreakfastTelevision will reveal a secret location at 6am where gas prices will be slashed by about 50 cents a litre. At the current rate, that means prices at or around 70 cents a squirt for regular - a figure drivers haven't seen since 2000.
But the actual amount - and the location of this better-than-fiction station - won't be revealed until the stroke of 6 Friday morning, when BT begins its final show of the week. All we can tell you is that the station is located somewhere in the GTA, the offer will last until 9am - and the place is known only to a select few, so it won't help phoning Kevin Frankish at home.
There are only two things you can definitely expect from this super special offer - there will be traffic lined up for blocks to take advantage of it (and if you're running low, you might want to fill up a bit beforehand in case you're stuck in a long line) and we'll likely never see gas this low again.
Motorists are advised to tune in at 6am and leave early if they want to get in on the deal.

I don't mean to be rude, but who ever actually waists their time waking up 5am to watch this and then get in the car and drive all the way to this Gas station to wait in a line for an offer that will only last a few hours 6am to 9am? lol and then fill it up having to refill in about few days, is the dumbest thing I have herd, you only save money if the price is constant on a regular purchasing product, and you only save on a one time offer for a one time buy.

This is so funny, I agree prices are high, but it doesn’t hurt me, I drive when I need to and map out the shortest routes using map quest every time round, and if I notice traffic I also learned Detours from the maps, helps big time, now I see why limo and taxi drivers are always fastest from point A to B.

This is just another money making scheme, I heard on the radio today due to high Gas prices the oil companies in Canada have made over a billion dollars since the price hike.
And this lowering price is another high sales volume scheme, sell 3 times as more then the higher prices, and they still make the big bucks off us.

Ppl are retarded....if only ppl knew how to drive instead of treating the gas pedal like an on/off switch and driving 130km/hr. You can save 5 or 10L of fuel every tank if you adjust your driving habits, which adds up at the end of the year. As a result of this increase i get $0.55 a km for work

That is actually very true, not long ago I was cruising in my Porsche and a really pissed of driver in a new gmc pick up truck pulls up from behind me and stops on my left at the light swearing his lungs out, I try to ignore him, but he's waiving me to lower my window, so I do just that.

He's yelling at me "buddy wtf did you buy that Porsche for if you drive like a granny?" I replied "buddy you wouldn't be pissed all the time if you drove sensible and didn't have to pay an arm & a leg at the pump for that behemoth, maybe then you could have saved some cash and bought yourself a second hand used Porsche" it was obvious we both were yelling out loud, after I said what I said, an older gentlemen with his wife in a Ferrari modena, started laughing, and horning the crazy truck driver, as the truck driver was trying to get out of the truck, though he went back in and show off floored it and wasted about 2 litres of gas, lol.

Point is its true, many people drive too aggressive, though there are also those who don’t, ahh life.lol

i dont rev over 3000rpm and i ease onto the gas...people hate driving behind me from a stop light....when i see a red light i usually let of the gas and coast, 90% of the time i dont have to touch the brakes cause the light will go green before i get there...its called being smart and saving my car and gas. oh yeah...98 vw golf k2 2.0l

Can tire gas station, Britannia and Mavis
Packed up ...takes about 1.5 hrs estimated wait time...You'd be stupid to go...Unless you got nothing better to do and you turn your car off and push it the whole way through the line....

I vaguely remember that Alvin...couldn't think of what station it was, but the lines were insane from what was reported. This event probably had the same results.

Heard it was a zoo there this morning. I wouldn't even bother just to save like $15-$20 for a Civic tank. The wait alone is probably 1 hour sitting there burning off gas. Even traffic through there was mayhem.

if I had a pig of a car on fuel I would wait it out...like a caddy fleetwood or something...and then I would bring jerry cans and fill those up too...hell I would rent a pickup and put an oil drum in the back and fill that up hahaha
